Process manufacturing is concerned with the use of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), such as those used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, biotechnology and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environments. The key point to define process manufacturing is that once the raw ingredients or formulas have been used and mixed they cannot be returned back to their original individual state.
