Condor Logistics, which operates 200,000 square feet of warehousing from sites in Portsmouth, Solihull, Jersey and Guernsey, has invested in a new warehouse management solution from Access Delta. The company has a fleet of around 370 trailers and offers a range of 3PL services including 24/7 secure warehousing, next-day delivery, computerised track and trace and inventory management. "Since we automated our supply chain its productivity has increased by as much as fifteen per cent," says Condor's bond manager, who took the earlier decision to install the Access Delta bonded warehouse performance system for the Condor Ferries service that provides a vital supply link between the UK, Channel Islands and St Malo. Now sister company, 3PL storage and distribution company Condor Logistics has followed suit by installing an Access Delta system.

"We had good feedback from colleagues already using the Bond system. In line with our procurement practice we did look at other warehouse systems but Access Delta was better and more flexible" says Condor Logistics warehouse manager Andy Robson. Access Delta has now gone live. "We have just fully racked out a warehouse for a new contract, and have been able to customise it with the help of the Delta system," Andy Robson added.

Access Delta (www.theaccessgroup.com/delta) claims the largest percentage of 3PL clients of any WMS technology supplier. The company was recently acquired by Access Group (www.theaccessgroup.com), a leading UK business solutions provider, and has become a division of the Group under a new 'Access Delta' brand. The acquisition enhances Access' ability to offer an integrated and smart business-wide solution that monitors and optimises the performance of supply chain operations.

The Access Delta 3PL system is a best-in-class warehouse management solution designed specifically for complex 3PL, multiple customer operations, from order to dispatch. Control parameters allow the user to configure and customise the system for each contract customer, with customer-by-customer stock accounting, custom labelling, inventory management and online reporting.

The distinctive Access Delta graphical warehouse map enables accurate, real-time inventory management, while Delta's KPI technology can be used to manage warehouse and wider supply chain performance. The Delta family of warehouse performance solutions can be easily integrated with any ERP or other system. Access Delta systems have been developed for all types of warehouse operation including bonded, distribution, third party and manufacturing.

Access Delta deploys its solutions throughout the UK and continental Europe: clients include Eddie Stobart, Foulger Transport, Life Fitness, Toyota Tsusho, Edexcel, Condor Ferries, Palletways and The Royal British Legion.
