A new awards event has been launched to reward excellence in marketing the application of STEM skills in the manufacturing sector.

The STEM Marketing Awards will champion the work of organisations operating in STEM-related industries across the UK, with companies working in relevant sectors now invited to enter.

Marketing publication Prolific North has launched the awards to bridge the gap in STEM industry-specific schemes, and to provide an opportunity for specialist B2B marketing professionals to showcase innovations and achievements in the sector.

The launch of the STEM awards has been supported by founding partner Lesniak Swann, a specialist B2B marketing agency, which works across STEM industries, including for clients such as Polypipe Building Services and Axair Fans.

Taking part in the STEM Marketing Awards will provide an opportunity for companies and B2B marketing professionals to showcase their work in front of a panel of industry peers and position themselves as market leaders.

Ilika Copeland, Group Marketing Director at LoneStar Group and one of the judges for the inaugural STEM Marketing Awards, commented: "The awards will encourage innovation and excellence in marketing professionals working in the STEM sector. They will also highlight the breadth of careers available across STEM as well as promoting continuous learning, further emphasising the importance of skills development within these rapidly evolving fields.

“A priority of the awards is to recognise impactful innovation, showcase creativity combined with technical fluency, and inspire marketing professionals within the field.”

Alexandra Balasz, Managing Director at Prolific North, added: "We're excited to be pioneering the first marketing awards dedicated to the STEM sector. Entries will be judged by industry experts who have been selected for their knowledge and track record in one or more STEM disciplines, helping to bring invaluable experience in evaluating submissions and further elevate the prestige of winning an award."
