OPEX Corporation, Provider of Next Generation Automation providing solutions for document, mail and warehouse automation, has been selected as a finalist in the 2023 New Equipment Digest (NED) Innovation Awards in the Automation category for OPEX Sure Sort, an automated put wall solution for warehousing order fulfilment.
Each year, the NED Innovation Awards celebrate innovations in industrial technology, tools, and equipment that empower businesses to work faster, better, and more cost-effectively.

A scalable, reliable, high-throughput sorting system, Sure Sort excels at cost-effective and accurate order handling, cross-docking, and reverse logistics. Sure Sort robotic delivery vehicles, known as iBOTs, quickly and accurately process up to 2,400 items each hour with as little as three operators, and have the ability to recharge as they travel through the system.
In the past year, OPEX expanded Sure Sort to incorporate radio frequency identification (RFID) scanning to meet growing needs from clients, especially apparel manufacturers and retailers.
Because RFID employs radio waves, the scanning process does not require a visual connection, as is the case with bar codes, which sometimes get hidden in garments and require additional operator handling, slowing operations.
In addition to warehouse automation solutions like Sure Sort and Infinity Automated Sorting and Retrieval System (AS/RS), which was a finalist for the 2022 NED Innovation Awards, OPEX offers a host of document and mail automation technologies.
