Thousands of industry professionals will gather on May 24th & 25th for the one-day event – which is free to attend.

The eDelivery Expo (eDX) returns to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on May 25th, a day after the InternetRetailing Expo (IRX), considered the UK’s premier digital retail show.

Registration – which is free – is now open for both events.

While IRX will delve into how consumer trends are evolving, and help those operating in the digital retail space to raise their game, eDX shines a light on logistics, supply chain, packaging, delivery and fulfilment. Certainly, eCommerce professionals working in the transport and delivery of goods won’t want to miss eDX – here’s why.

Networking and interaction at eDX

Attendees to IRX and eDX will be informed by the latest trends and innovations shaping the digital retail industry, influenced by talks from over 100 thought leaders and speakers – ranging from industry veterans to rising stars – and inspired by pioneering technology providers or solutions providers.

Thousands of industry professionals will participate in the must-attend event in the digital retail calendar. With “networking” and “interaction” are the watchwords, attendees are encouraged to listen, learn, and share.

At eDX people can catch up with old friends, make new contacts, and hear about the latest trends – plus find out how to make the most of them. By attending workshops, eDX visitors will gain valuable insights and hear applicable, practical advice to enable businesses to thrive.

This year’s conference will feature numerous household brands, exhibitors and sponsors, including Amazon Shipping and Amazon Freight, Direct Link, Lil Packaging, Paack Logistics, Shiptheory, Storefeeder and Metapack.

Conference tracks at eDX

Sessions across three conference theatres include keynotes, panels, and fireside chats. Meanwhile, three workshop theatres will provide practical and applicable advice on a range of subjects. Notably, and new for 2023, there is a diversity and inclusion track at eDX.

The conference tracks reflect the most relevant topics for digital retail professionals. For 2023, these are Delivery and Returns, Fulfilment and Supply Chain, and Inclusion and Diversity in Modern Commerce.

To provide prospective guests with an idea of what will likely be discussed in the four tracks, below is a selection of working-agenda items – please note that these are subject to change.

Fulfilment and Supply Chain

How can automation drive down costs and improve service delivery? What are the best ways to incorporate sustainability into the supply chain? And how should businesses operate flexibly to manage peak periods of demand better? These questions, and many more, will be answered in Theatre 3. Other discussion topics include meeting cross-border fulfilment needs without barriers, using forecasting, and advice about how to enter new markets.

Inclusion and Diversity in Modern Commerce

As well as providing the stage for the initial plenary session on May 25th – a networking breakfast and welcome from a representative from Diversity in Retail – Theatre 4 has a packed agenda for eDX. It is the first time the event has had an Inclusion and Diversity track. In addition, there will be a panel session on diversity in leadership, a fireside chat about how to embed diversity and inclusion in company culture, tips on breaking barriers, and plenty of networking opportunities.

Delivery and Returns

With an increased sustainability focus, Theatre 4 will be popular at the 2023 edition of eDX. From the stage, on May 25th, attendees will hear about how to better communicate with customers during the post-purchase phase and also find out about how to balance customer experience with sustainability, cost, and brand ethos. Finally, with supply-chain volatility likely to continue, people can also discover tips for improving cross-border delivery and creating and managing a multi-carrier strategy.

IRX & eDX takes place on May 24th and 25th at the NEC, Birmingham.
