MiX Telematics, the global provider of fleet and mobile asset management solutions delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS), has been awarded the Fleet Safety Partnership Award in conjunction with Wincanton at the 2019 Fleet Safety Awards organised by road safety charity, Brake.

The prestigious awards recognise the sterling achievements of UK-based companies working to improve safety and reduce pollution caused by vehicles. The entrants span the United Kingdom’s fleet professionals.

MiX Telematics Europe and Wincanton were awarded in the category that recognises the partnership of a fleet provider or operator with another organisation that has delivered the most outstanding results to improve fleet safety.

Wincanton appointed MiX Telematics to provide fleet management software for a number of their vehicles and the partnership has since grown into what it’s become today.

“Wincanton is really proud to have won this award with MiX. They are a partner who understands our business, shares our passion for safety and is focused on making daily improvements. Over the last 12 months, our safety score has improved by more than 85% and as a consequence, we have seen a huge reduction in accidents. Wincanton has a responsibility to safeguard the wellbeing of its people, its customers and the wider public, so it’s great to see our drivers talking about safety and sharing their experiences every day,” responds Carl Hanson, Group Fleet Director at Wincanton.

According to the award organisers, this award was given because of the clear, targeted and consistent approach by both Wincanton and MiX Telematics. Together they have demonstrated ongoing improvements to road safety, on a large scale. The culture of safety demonstrated by both companies is testament to their success.

“We are delighted to be sharing this award with Wincanton. Our passion at MiX Telematics is to improve road safety and this award recognises our efforts in partnership with Wincanton, as every day we work tirelessly to make our roads safer,” says Jonathan Bates, MiX Telematics EU Director.
