High Wycombe based Olive Communications, the Cloud Telephony and Unified Communications provider, has announced global expansion plans with the opening of an Australian-based support capability.
Olive Cloud Solutions (PTY) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Olive Group, based in Brisbane Australia to enhance the existing 24x7x365 support Olive provides to its growing base of global customers. Further plans are underway to launch a similar operation in North America, to optimise global expertise and deliver ‘in region’ support to customers and end users.
Olive Chief Executive, Martin Flick, said: “We have seen Olive evolve from a highly capable Enterprise Mobility supplier into a fully-fledged Cloud Based telephony and Unified Communications managed services provider in the past five years, with an increasing number of large customers requiring global solutions.
“For many years, we have supported corporate citizens working for UK based organisations using an Olive device as they travel the world, day and night. However, as the needs of our expanding customer base changes, our developing global portfolio and support model is evolving to ensure we continue to be best in class.”
Working in close partnership with Mitel, Olive has delivered global telephony and contact centre solutions to a number of customers across North America, Australia and the UK in a single cloud infrastructure, and are soon to extend that service for one large customer in South Africa. Having in territory resource working to aligned business hours within each region adds significant customer value and is more efficient and effective than a single UK service desk manned 24 hours a day.
Flick continued, “To that end, not only does it add huge value for customers, it produces a better experience for our team, who can work flexibly, affording the ability to travel and work internationally in development of their careers and life experiences.”

Several of the Olive team have spent the past few months working in Australia on secondment to train resources. Having established a foothold in AsiaPac Olive will be working closely with fellow Mitel partner Azentro (PTY) Ltd, Mitel’s leading partner in Australia. Azentro will be supporting the Olive team with overflow support to deal with peak periods, and a joint sales and marketing strategy.
