Digital Goodie, Finnish creator of an award-winning digital commerce and distributed order management platform, has been listed among digital commerce platforms in the August 2018 Gartner Digital Commerce Vendor Guide.

This is the second consecutive year Digital Goodie has been included in the Digital Commerce Vendor Guide.

As a global research and advisory firm providing insights, advice, and tools across industries, Gartner is one of the most influential forces CIO's and their staffs use to aid their purchasing and business technology decision-making.

Digital Goodie offers its retail customers a fully customizable connected commerce platform, simplifying their digital retail operations. The platform enables retailers to scale and develop their online business fast and effectively, improving the profitability of operations. The platform is offered as a cloud-based, fully modular SaaS solution covering all key components retailers need to run online operations efficiently end-to-end.

Digital Goodie's CEO Kalle Koutajoki comments: "Retail customers are facing the challenges of digital disruption which requires capabilities for fast innovation and integration cycles and constant refinement of the customer experience. Digital Goodie's value promise is to help retailers stay competitive by mastering the new digital era, and every aspect of our product is designed to do exactly that.

"Our microservices based and cloud-native technology is perfect for scaling up, and enables our customers to react fast to the constantly evolving market needs. The report notes that "API-based or "headless" commerce continues to grow in popularity" and we believe Digital Goodie's fast growth is a clear proof-point of the trend. We could not be happier to be officially acknowledged by Gartner."

In its Digital Commerce Vendor Guide, 2018 Gartner notes that "Online commerce continues to grow in all areas of the world... Digital commerce is increasingly seen as a way to provide a superior customer experience.

In Gartner's Digital Commerce State of the Union Survey of Research Circle members whose organisations use digital commerce platforms, improving customer satisfaction and innovating or transforming the business are the top reasons for embracing digital commerce." The enablement of superior customer experience together with managing a growing ecosystem of technologies, vendors and services will be key capabilities for retailers going forward.
