At the sites Bietigheim, Durmersheim, Germersheim and Mannheim, Walter Schmitt GmbH has recently been using an industry-specific warehouse management solution of the logistics software specialist inconso for industry-specific motor, transmission and axle deliveries.
The industry solution inconsoWMS Automotive is used for the sophisticated production-synchronous control of parts for commercial vehicle production (sequential delivery); over the past months, it successfully went live step-by-step at the Aggregate-Sequenzier-Center (ASC) in Durmersheim, Baden-Württemberg, and Germersheim, Rhineland-Palatinate.
As a standard product for procurement and distribution logistics in the automotive industry, inconsoWMS Automotive fulfills all warehouse logistic requirements for just in time (JIT) and just in sequence (JIS) processing. With the integrated pre-supplier control, the complete procurement management of the supply chain can be displayed and thus production-synchronous logistics secured. Walter Schmitt delivers motors and components for over 400 vehicles per day.
The main benefit of inconsoWMS Automotive is the ability to display n-n relationships to pre-suppliers, logistics service providers, suppliers and OEMs. In addition, all internal transports from goods receiving and store-in through to stock removals and loading are systematically checked to ensure fast identification and safety.
