Freeway Fleet Systems will be launching an electronic 24 hour worksheet as one of a series of fleet maintenance software innovations on show for the first time at Coach and Bus UK (NEC, 4-5 October 2017).

Used to plan, show and manage a schedule of daily jobs in the workshop, the multi-screen 24 hour sheet replaces the traditional A3 paper document.

The 24 hour sheet supplements Freeway's mobile software apps - that include smartphone based job-cards and tablet-based inspections – to provide a complete paperless solution that completely eliminates the need for any transcription. Desktop versions of the 24 hour sheet are optimised for interactive workshop control, while large on-screen versions can be displayed for engineering teams within the workshop.

Also being demonstrated at Coach and Bus UK will be a ground-breaking electronic Vehicle Running Card solution. Drivers already using Freeway's walk-around check smartphone app can now receive their bus route details on their phones in place of a traditional paper Running Card. Freeway's smartphone applications seamlessly integrate with enterprise level fleet management systems, giving managers up to the minute visibility of the status of all vehicle maintenance and compliance.

Freeway will also be showing how the software is used for compliance, managing stores and improving parts procurement. With moves toward electronic compliance reporting and the DVSA's planned Earned Recognition scheme, Freeway's software can now generate daily and weekly auto-reports to help managers meet their monthly Earned Recognition KPI targets. Meanwhile, a new online ordering facility will be on show that allows parts and services to be ordered from any internet connected device for easier, paperless, 24/7 working from any location.

Freeway's fleet maintenance solutions have been developed in close association with bus and coach operators, including Tower Transit, Abellio, Reading Buses and CT Plus. As well as the mobile applications, visitors to Coach and Bus UK will be able to see Freeway in action and explore the extensive range of capabilities including stores, purchasing, planned maintenance, defects, safety, and compliance.
