RED Academy, the design and technology school in Toronto and Vancouver, has announced the launch of its full- and part-time courses for students in the UK on 2 October 2017.

The first campus will be located in the heart of London at Aldwych House, and will offer students a series of courses that provide real-world projects to better equip them with the skills needed for technology-related careers.

The courses, specialising in design, technology and digital marketing, are taught by experienced industry professionals, ensuring students learn the skills, tools and technologies that are being used in, and demanded by, the tech industry today.

Founder of RED Academy, Colin Mansell said, "It comes as no surprise that employers are concerned about school leavers and graduates not having the necessary skills to meet their current needs. We recognised that what was needed in the UK was something that really redefines education, better connecting it with real-world industries. That's why at RED Academy, we provide tailored courses that evolve constantly to ensure the content and technologies we are teaching are hyper-relevant to all individuals who have the desire to gain knowledge about these much in-demand technological skills.

"We need to fill the gap currently left by many further and higher education courses, and give students a real taste for what is actually needed for today's employees in this fast-paced market."

RED Academy's programme streams cover digital marketing and UX design, user interface and communication design, web and application development, and is designed for recent graduates and career-switchers looking for new and exciting career paths in the tech sector.

Offering an 'agency-style' approach, the courses focus on the individual, in small sized classrooms with a much higher ratio of students to teachers than you would expect in more traditional education models. Courses can vary from 5-24 weeks for both full-and part-time students.
