Tageos, the RFID tag manufacturer of 100% paper-based UHF RFID labels, has announced the successful completion of product testing in the ARC program at the Auburn University RFID lab.

The EOS-400 product passed all 11 categories related to various use cases for RFID within retail environments. Tageos' globally patented manufacturing process removes the need for the plastic carrier layer found in etched RFID products.

This simplifies manufacturing and uses 50% less glue, no plastic, and creates 90% less waste when compared to traditional RFID labels and tags. As the results of the ARC testing have shown, all of this is done without impacting performance. "Having a product meet or exceed the performance requirements for all 11 ARC categories is a great accomplishment for Tageos. It allows retailers and their suppliers to confidently use Tageos RFID products and realise the benefits of our innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly labels and tags" says Matthieu Picon, CEO at Tageos.
