Epicor acquires Dot Net IT to accelerate Epicor ERP deployments and expand cloud offerings

Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, has acquired its UK-based partner Dot Net IT.

Under the terms of the acquisition, all of Dot Net IT's outstanding equity has been acquired. The acquisition is expected to strengthen the Epicor sales, services and support team globally, and brings cloud-based, add-on solutions that extend the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) portfolio.

Dot Net IT is an established business solutions provider and certified Epicor alliance and channel partner specialising in Epicor ERP implementation services, support and development of add-on solutions. This acquisition expands the Epicor implementation bench to support customer implementations, migrations and upgrades to the latest version of Epicor ERP in the cloud or on-premises. Dot Net IT also has a dedicated team of developers delivering solutions like the popular Data Management Tool (DMT) currently used by Epicor customers and integration partners worldwide to reduce the complexities of data management for faster, more efficient implementation projects.

"Dot Net IT has been a consistently strong Epicor partner, aligned with our core values and focus on customer experience and business growth," said Sabby Gill, executive vice president, Epicor International. "This acquisition brings valuable knowledge and experience into the fold, as Dot Net IT serves numerous Epicor customers worldwide with implementation, cloud migration and IT infrastructure support, and has a track record of quickly and effectively resolving issues to keep their businesses running smoothly."

"We are pleased to join Epicor and bring the expertise we've honed selling, implementing and developing solutions for Epicor ERP as an alliance and channel partner," said Gary Parfrey, managing partner, Dot Net IT. "The team consists of experts in extending Epicor ERP functionality, and designing solutions to save customers time and maximise their technology investment, so they can focus on business growth."

Epicor and Dot Net IT have been working collaboratively for a number of years with joint customers in the manufacturing and services industries, such as Dorner, Fasse Valves, Hayward Tyler, Marshall of Cambridge Aerospace, and St Ives Group, to name a few.

Hayward Tyler Ltd, one of the oldest engineering companies in the UK, is a joint Epicor and Dot Net IT customer with a successful turnaround story that won a Customer Excellence Award in 2015 for Business Transformation. According to Keith Herring, Head of IT, Hayward Tyler, "in 2013, we were close to going out of business. We had almost £1 million in warranty claims and in some cases were over 170 days late delivering customer orders. However, through a dedicated turnaround team who galvanised the whole company and introduced systems to succeed and deliver for our customers, the turnaround was immediate."

Herring continued, "Among other initiatives, the turnaround team created the environment for Continuous Improvement, cleansed our ERP source data and 'Leaned Out' our processes, most importantly we engaged the whole workforce. We also upgraded our Epicor software to match our new methods of working. We saved jobs and allowed the business to grow and expand, celebrating our 200th anniversary in 2015, and remaining in a successful position in 2016."
