RBTE opens next week

Next week will see the largest European gathering of the retail community when RBTE, Europe's most influential retail solutions event and the co-located Retail Design Expo and Retail Digital Signage Expo opens its doors for business.

Visitors from as far away as Australia will be joining their European colleagues from hundreds of tier one and two retailers, as well as hospitality and leisure providers, while over 16,000 visitors are expected over the two day event.


RBTE has over 350 solution providers, ranging from the largest international players to small boutique suppliers and innovative start-ups, offering a range of solutions from full scale ERP systems to mobile payments. To make it even easier for visitors to navigate the numerous innovative solutions that will be on display the RBTE Innovation Trail and Awards, sponsored by BT, highlights the most inspirational solutions at the show. Launched at RBTE 2015, RBTE's innovation programme was a huge success, and proved highly popular with the exhibitors who were selected to take part, as well as RBTE visitors who made a beeline for the selected stands. Exhibitors at RBTE 2016 were invited to submit entries which include robots, smart lockers and omnichannel payments technology, which were reviewed by a judging panel of experts. The overall winner will be announced at the Big Party in the Dell Champagne Party at 4.45pm on Wednesday 9th March.

The Conference programme at RBTE has attracted a lot of attention. It is packed with Europe's retailers all dedicated to solving the issues dominating the retail world and helping drive new customers to your business. Look out for keynotes from Mark Lewis, Head of Omnichannel Customer Ordering, JOHN LEWIS; Luke Jensen, Former Group Development Director, SAINSBURY'S; Simon Roberts, Executive VP of Walgreens Boots Alliance and President, BOOTS; Steve Johnson, Head of Central Operations, CARPETRIGHT; Robbie Feather, Director of Online, SAINSBURY'S; Terry Duddy, Non-Executive Director, DEBENHAMS; and William Kim, CEO, ALL SAINTS.

Classic favourites such at the Retailer Bootcamps make a welcome return to RBTE, offering inspirational practical advice that attendees can take back to the office and immediately implement to all areas of the retail business. The In-Store Customer RFID Experience is also back for 2016, with the increased importance of real-time inventory to enable retailers to become truly omnichannel.

Plus  there is a new area - the eCommerce Quarter - in addition to the hundreds of exhibitors throughout RBTE that offer eCommerce-related services, the eCommerce Quarter features over 60 eCommerce solutions specialists together with a dedicated eCommerce Theatre - sponsored by IBM Marketing Cloud.
