Handheld announces strategic Enterprise Mobility Management Alliance with SOTI

Handheld Group, the manufacturer of rugged mobile computers, and SOTI, provider of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM), have announced a strategic alliance extending SOTI MobiControl's deep management capabilities to Handheld's rugged mobile devices.

Certification of Handheld's devices within the SOTI OEM partner program enables Handheld's reselling partners to offer SOTI's advanced technology to quickly provision devices, content and applications without end user intervention or downtime. Handheld chose SOTI based on the company's vertical expertise and device control. SOTI's comprehensive mobility management capabilities meet the needs of businesses using Handheld devices.

Optidev, a company specialising in logistics and mobility currently offers SOTI MDM solutions to optimize and provide a secure mobility environment for its customers. Optidev is also a supplier of Handheld devices. "Our customers' face many unique challenges in device management . SOTI provides a centralized mobility management capability that address these challenges" said Christian Lundin, sales director. "Adding SOTI MobiControl to Handheld's ultra-rugged devices is a natural combination allowing enterprise customer to efficiently manage their mobile deployments."

Handheld's Nautiz and Algiz ultra-rugged PDAs and tablets are specifically developed for use in tough environments in industries such as: geomatics, logistics, forestry, public transportation, construction, mining, field service, utilities, public safety, military and security.

Handheld rugged computers with SOTI MobiControl will be demonstrated at Handheld's stand K34 at the Emergency Services Show in Birmingham on September 23-24, and at the Mobility for Business conference in Paris on October 6-8.
