Datalogic – a global solutions provider in Automatic Data Capture and Industrial Automation markets, and producer of barcode readers, mobile computers, sensors, vision systems and laser marking equipment – has announced that Renovotec, the UK provider of rugged hardware, has joined its Partner Advantage Program and been awarded Platinum Partner status.
"It is important for Renovotec to be able to offer our customers a comprehensive choice of best-in-class devices for their mobile deployments," explained Richard Gilliard, Managing Director at Renovotec. "Recent changes in the Auto ID landscape encouraged us to evaluate options to expand our offering. Datalogic is a strong addition to our existing portfolio, offering our customers feature rich, rugged devices at a competitive price point."
Since engaging with Datalogic, Renovotec has seen significant interest and demand from its customers for the Skorpio X3 Mobile Computer for use in warehouse and manufacturing applications. As well as an option for the device to operate on Windows CE 6.0, the Skorpio X3 boasts comprehensive wireless communication capabilities, numerous keypad options and an IP64 protection rating that means it can withstand the multiple drops, shocks and tumbles it may be exposed to in these demanding environments.
"In addition to their functionality and favourable ergonomics, the competitive price point of Datalogic's devices make them an attractive proposition for our growing device rental customer base," explained Gilliard. Through the partnership with Datalogic, Renovotec can now offer customers Windows CE devices at a very attractive price point as part of its Hardware as a Service (HaaS) programme, FocusID, which provides customers with rugged devices on a rental contract basis.
Mike Doyle, Regional Director UK and Ireland for Datalogic said, "It's a pleasure to invite Renovotec into the Partner Advantage Program as a Platinum partner. As part of our continued engagement, we will be supporting Renovotec on a number of levels to help them stimulate business growth in the UK that will drive our mutual success."
Gilliard concluded "In such a competitive market place, it is vital for us to partner with rugged hardware vendors that can be reactive to our customers' needs. Datalogic's technology is backed up by a strong support team in the UK and has proven its ability to be agile, while supporting our focus towards continued business growth. We look forward to continuing the partnership for many years to come."
