SATO, the global provider of Auto-ID solutions that empower workforces and streamline operations, and BIT Consulting, the software solutions provider for the healthcare industry, have announced that SATO's PJM RFID Technology is now available with myMEDISET. BIT Consulting's myMEDISET is a leading solution for medical device loan-kit and consignment management that is based on SAP software. The myMEDISET 7.0 solution is certified by SAP to run on the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform.

Founded in Freiburg, Germany, BIT Consulting developed myMEDISET for businesses in the medical field. The solution minimises costs and reduces administrative workloads for managing high-value assets. myMEDISET supports complicated loan-kit operations for orthopaedic implant vendors using barcode technology, and with the integration of SATO's PJM RFID Technology, myMEDISET is now an RFID-ready solution.

"Integrating PJM RFID technology with myMEDISET adds real value for our customers," said Michael Knauer, CEO and founder of BIT Consulting. "When a loan kit is dispatched for surgical treatment, it needs to be monitored closely, and employing PJM RFID drastically improves loan processing. The orthopedic industry in Australia has almost universally deployed PJM RFID technology, resulting in vendors and hospitals achieving extremely high levels of efficiency and some of the lowest DPPM rates in the world."

"Many of our customers in Australia, Japan and other regions are using myMEDISET for one reason: it works," said Hiroyuki Konuma, President of SATO Healthcare. "There is nothing more important for our customers when making the jump to RFID. It has to work, and it has to work well. myMEDISET is a proven robust solution used by the world's top brands, and we are excited to bring our technologies together to benefit customers around the world."

myMEDISET is available with PJM RFID technology via a software upgrade, and is jointly supported by BIT Consulting and SATO. The solution will be exhibited at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society show, HIMSS APAC 2015, in Singapore from September 6 to 10, 2015.
