New England BioLabs (UK), a world player in the production and supply of reagents for the life science industry, has implemented the fleXipod proof of delivery system.
It was a key priority for NEB to gain better visibility of its delivery operation whilst retaining the benefits of using a third party fulfilment provider to complete their daily deliveries. Following the simple implementation of the fleXipod proof of delivery system, NEB now collects detailed POD data via third party drivers; monitors the daily progress of the delivery operation in near real-time and quickly acts on any deviations from the optimal plan.

In addition to the standard fleXipod system that includes the web-based central management console and the Android mobile app, NEB has implemented the fleXipodiFace middleware application. With assistance from the fleXipod support team, Matt was able to integrate the solution with ease, allowing seamless communication between existing systems and the fleXipod software.
The fleXipod system accepts automated daily job lists from NEB central systems, and pushes to the mobile application used by the third party fulfilment provider. Using the self-configurable central management console, NEB stipulates the delivery data that must be collected by the third party drivers for various delivery outcomes, including signature, photo, notes and customisable forms. The fully electronic capture and transfer of this data drastically reduces the amount of delivery paperwork necessary and creates a more secure and efficient data management process - ideal for the pharmaceutical industry.
Following completed deliveries, fleXipodiFace transfers the proof of delivery data, including any images collected, to the NEB central platform. Within minutes, NEB can access full POD data for rapid invoicing and customer service updates.
