Egress Software Technologies Inc. has announced that its encryption services platform, Egress Switch, has been awarded the highest level Skyhigh CloudTrust rating of Enterprise-Ready. Skyhigh Enterprise-Ready cloud services fully satisfy the most stringent requirements for data protection, identity verification, service security, business practices, and legal protection.
Egress CEO Tony Pepper commented: "Today's confirmation that we have been awarded the Skyhigh CloudTrust rating of Enterprise-Ready is further demonstration of our on-going commitment to providing an industry-leading and best-practice data security and encryption services platform. The continued success of Egress Switch has been built on a foundation of technological excellence and innovation, which we continually validate by undertaking initiatives such as the CloudTrust Programme.
"As a result of this rating, our enterprise customers will have the reassurance that they are selecting an encryption solution that has been vigorously tested and evaluated against the most stringent data security requirements, by one of the industry's most highly regarded and independent assessment bodies. Customers can therefore reduce the cost and evaluation time required prior to selecting their encryption solution."
Skyhigh identifies and classifies thousands of cloud services to provide an objective and detailed evaluation of the enterprise-readiness of each cloud service based on a detailed set of criteria developed in conjunction with the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). The evaluation spans five categories:
- Data attributes
- User and device attributes
- Service attributes
- Business attributes
- Legal attributes
"Companies seek enterprise-ready services from providers such as Egress Software Technologies, but vetting the capabilities and policies of a provider consumes a great deal of time and resources," said Kamal Shah, vice-president of products and marketing at Skyhigh Networks. "The Skyhigh CloudTrust Rating shortens the evaluation process from weeks to hours by offering an objective, holistic assessment of a service provider's security capabilities and enterprise readiness."
