The Microlise Transport Conference will return to The Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Wednesday 20th May and Richard Burnett, Chief Executive of the Road Haulage Association, has been announced as the Keynote Speaker.

In his address, Richard will deliver a state of the nation view on the industry, assessing the issues and challenges that operators face today, and will face in the future as the industry continues to develop. Richard will then talk about the RHA, how it works with members and the support available, as well as his plans for the future of the organisation.

Commenting, Richard Burnett said: "The Microlise Transport Conference theme taps into the key issues in transport. It gives the RHA the perfect opportunity to share its vision for a progressive future for the Association and for the industry, its customers and suppliers.

"Road haulage and distribution is a vital service provider, increasingly IT-led and professionally licenced and qualified. The RHA is perfectly placed to champion the industry and help take it to the next level."

The focus of the Conference is to provide insight and information for fleet operators to help reduce operating costs, improve service levels and reduce impact on the environment – key challenges for organisations running transport and logistics operations.

Now firmly established as the UK's biggest road transport conference, the 2015 event expects to welcome around 1,000 delegates to hear from a speaker line up full of industry heavyweights, as well as over 20 exhibitors made up of a range of industry operators and suppliers.

The Microlise Transport Conference, free to attend, is sponsored by vehicle manufacturers and Microlise OEM partners MAN and DAF.
