Infor gets top marks for business intelligence offering

Infor, provider of business application software serving more than 73,000 customers, has announced that according to BI Survey 14 by BARC, Infor BI takes a leadership position in the international BI market.

For its independent annual Survey, Business Application Research Center (BARC) interviews BI users around the globe. In the peer group of the large scale enterprise reporting vendors, Infor is ranked among the leaders in 13 categories, including product satisfaction, project success and Big Data analytics. In further eight categories of its four peer groups, including price-to-value perception and visual design standards in the large international BI vendors and large scale enterprise reporting vendors peer group, Infor even outperforms the entire competition.

The BI Survey 14 is based on findings from the world's largest and most comprehensive survey of business intelligence end-users, conducted earlier this year. In total, 3,224 people responded to the Survey. Altogether, 34 products are analyzed in detail. The BI Survey 14 examines BI product selection and usage among users. Infor is featured in four peer groups: large international BI vendors, large scale enterprise reporting vendors, OLAP analysis providers, and planning software providers.

Customers see excellent value when selecting Infor as their BI solution, voting Infor in first place among large scale enterprise reporting vendors and large international BI vendors. Combining the KPIs 'Investment per seat', 'Seats per administrator' and 'Price-performance perception', the BI Survey also looks at the overall KPI 'Investment'. Here, Infor is ranked among the top three vendors in all four groups and in first place among planning software vendors. In this peer group, Infor is also top ranked in for the KPI 'Investment per seat' and 'Seat per admin', reflecting the low level of administration the solution requires.

The BI Survey also underlines the excellent ability to support visual design standards in Infor BI. Infor is top ranked among large international BI vendors and among large scale enterprise reporting vendors and achieves two third places in the other two groups.

Finally, the BI Survey shows that Infor is well positioned for innovation – achieving a leading position in the large scale enterprise reporting peer group. Customer evaluate the Big Data analytics capabilities of Infor BI as very progressive, ranking Infor second among the large scale enterprise reporting vendors and fourth among the planning software suppliers.
