Delphian Systems (Delphian) has announced the arrival of its next generation Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) based technology that makes OEM products interoperable with mobile devices and capable of forming wireless mesh networks automatically.
The SecuRemote Smart (SR Smart) technology is an end-to-end solution for OEMs who need to make their products or devices a) directly interoperable with mobile devices, b) able of recognizing, connecting, and communicating with one another, and c) capable of connecting to the cloud directly.
With the SR Smart SoC (System on Chip), OEM products can now be Bluetooth Smart, communicate with applications on millions of existing Bluetooth Smart smartphones and tablets, form wireless mesh networks automatically and stay connected with the Cloud with utmost security and ease of use.
"SR Smart devices within 200 ft. – 400 ft. from one another become nodes of our proprietary LAN mesh network that offers some very unique features," states Delphian's Todd Piatnik. "Specifically, nodes do not require configuration, each node has both signal repeating and beacon functionality, and each node maintains Cloud connectivity through cellular broadband. Each LAN can support 240 SR Smartdevices. End-to-end cloud connectivity along with end-to-end security makes SR Smart the solution that OEMs have been looking for."
Delphian uses ultra-low power wireless chips from Nordic Semiconductor (Nordic). "Our shared vision with Nordic about the Internet of Things includes smart internet-connected devices that give people more freedom, convenience, and control of their lifestyle," states John Veleris, Chairman of Delphian. "Nordic's class-leading performance and sophistication at a low cost allows our technology to be used in even the most cost-sensitive consumer product applications."
