The North London branch of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, is hosting a free event to look at how large organisations can attract, recruit and retain graduates, apprentices and young professionals in IT disciplines.

The event, "Making IT work for graduates and professionals" will bring together experts from IBM and Deloitte who will share insight into their own development, motivation and incentive programmes for IT graduates. The event will take place on 18 September at BCS' Covent Garden offices.

Dalim Basu, Chair of BCS North London branch explains: "The recruitment process can be long winded and employers want to minimise the risks involved while at the same time ensuring that they attract and then retain the best employees. Our event is aimed at anyone who is managing the graduate/apprentice recruitment or retention scheme; the aim is to share best practice and offer insights into how organisations manage the process."

Speakers are:

Richard Porter, FBCS CITP, Partner, DELOITTE LLP
Sarah Frodsham, Business & Technology Consultant, Global Business Services, IBM UK
Vanessa Gough, Professional Development Manager, IBM UK Foundation
Registration for the free event is now open: www.nlondon.bcs.org
