Hankyu Hanshin Express, the Japanese global provider of logistics and freight forwarding services, has now started the planning for the roll out of Kewill's freight forwarding software solution across its operations in the United Kingdom.
Kewill Forwarding is a fully managed solution and will be used by Hankyu Hanshin Express in the UK to manage its air, sea and road based Logistics operations.
The expansion of Kewill Forwarding across the UK is part of a wider project throughout Europe, which will see all of Hankyu Hanshin Express' operations running one integrated freight forwarding platform. The first phase of the project kicked off in Germany last year, with phase two seeing the implementation of the solution throughout the UK. Phase three will see functionality rolled out across the rest of Europe.
The multimodal freight forwarding solution will offer quick and easy access to critical shipment information, providing visibility of cargo throughout the shipment cycle. Additionally, the solution will improve the management of freight forwarding procedures across Hankyu Hanshin Express' European business.

The wider project involves comprehensive integration between Kewill Forwarding and Kewill's multi-national customs solution, CustomsXchange, automating compliance with customs procedures, such as; importing, exporting and New Computerised Transit Systems (NCTS). This will include the localisation of forwarding documents to comply with UK legal requirements and regulations.
