Talend, the global open source software provider, has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the 'Visionaries' quadrant of the 'Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools' [1] report.

According to the report, which assesses the leading international providers of data integration tools based on completeness of vision and ability to execute, Gartner cites, "The market for data integration tools has exhibited substantial demands for technologies that offer breadth of functionality, high performance and the scalability needed to support enterprise-scale implementations. Buyers in this market continue to expand their usage and seek vendor technologies to serve a range of data integration capabilities applicable to a variety of use cases."

"We are excited to be positioned in the 'Visionaries' quadrant by Gartner," said Jim Foy, CEO and Executive Chairman, Talend. "We view it as confirmation of our commitment to delivering enterprise-ready open source solutions that provide value to a wide breadth of integration projects, for any type of data, from conventional systems to the most cutting-edge big data platforms."

Talend products evaluated in the Magic Quadrant include Talend Open Studio for Data Integration, Talend Enterprise Data Integration and Talend Open Studio for Big Data.

Talend Open Studio for Data Integration dramatically improves the efficiency of data integration design; Talend Enterprise Data Integration extends Talend Open Studio with enterprise-ready capabilities.
Talend Open Studio for Big Data is a powerful and versatile open source solution for big data integration that natively supports Apache Hadoop and other big data platforms such as NoSQL databases. Its unique code generation approach, optimised for these massively parallel environments, helps organisations of all sizes to reap the rewards of the vast amounts of data they have collected over time, at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions.

Gartner added, "Data integration is central to enterprises' information infrastructure. Enterprises pursuing the frictionless sharing of data are increasingly favoring technology tools that are flexible in regard to time-to-value demands, integration patterns, optimisation for cost and delivery models, and synergies with data management programs."
