Box launches joint partner promotion scheme

Box Technologies (Box), the technology solutions provider that works with leading retailers, has launched a new Partner Promotion Scheme - designed to help its channel software partners and independent solution vendors market themselves more effectively to their end user customers.

Box is offering to execute a complete range of joint marketing campaigns with its accredited partners, chosen across a spectrum of solution focused vertical markets. The expertise and - in many cases - the costs will be met by the Box marketing budget. The support will extend to access the Box creative marketing team, Box branded brochures, data sheets and other collateral. In addition, the company will work with partners directly to produce e-shot schedules and to deliver compelling messages across the board.

The company has already signed five partners to the scheme - M H Systems - for sports and hospitality software, LexPos - an EPoS system for pharmacies, Gamma Dataware - a range of software modules for visitor attractions, Software Solutions Systems - the coding software specialist and Carat Computer Systems - complete IT Solutions for Hotels.

Commenting on the scheme, Richard Elmes, marketing manager at Box, said: "Many of our ISVs and VARs have limited or no access to a marketing team. Through the scheme, we hope to open up more routes to market - for all parties.

"We have many years' experience in working with the channel, and we understand how to make the relationship work. This new initiative is designed to provide real support to our partners, and to provide them with guidance. We believe this is the best way to add real impetus and support to driving promotional programs to the mutual benefit of Box and its channel partners."

Sabine Duret, financial director at M H Systems Ltd, added: "As a highly technical software house, providing EPoS solutions to sports and leisure clubs, M H Systems' weakness was a lack of in-house marketing and PR know-how.

"When Box Technologies introduced us to its new reseller program, we jumped at the chance. Since signing up, Box has provided us with invaluable marketing help, designing and creating electronic marketing literature, issuing and managing e-shots through its own channels, preparing case studies at new client sites, and all for free.

"Box's involvement was a key factor in our securing preferred supplier status with a major British sport governing body, which will lead to a substantial increase in sales over the coming months."

In the near future, Box will be enhancing its website to include a secure login area specifically to support its partners and resellers. The reseller extranet facility is designed to allow its partners to have more autonomy in building their own program of lead generation promotions. Box will also promote the scheme through its own social media channels and website.

Any VAR or independent software vendor - even those not currently engaged with the business - may register to become an accredited partner.
