PTV Group and its Spanish partner Optimize Logistic Solutions will be presenting the latest version of the trip planning software PTV Smartour at SIL Barcelona, the international trade show for logistics and material handling. From 18 - 20 June, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of transport logistics solutions in hall 8, stand A-123B, such as PTV xServers, a rich set of software components for routing, mapping, geocoding and optimisation. Additional highlights include: PTV Map&Guide, the software for transport route planning, and PTV Navigator for Android, the convenient truck route guidance.
Optimise Logistic Solutions, Barcelona, has more than 15 years of experience in the field of logistics optimisation solutions for the Spanish market. More than 800 customers use PTV Smartour for trip planning and optimisation throughout Europe, enabling them to cut their transport costs by up to 15% and at the same time improve customer service.
The PTV xServers offer a wide range of geographical and logistical functions – from geocoding and display of data on digital maps to trip planning and optimisation. All function can be easily integrated into ERP and CRM systems. As the software components are modular by design, customers only have to license the modules they require. All of the software components work with current PTV map materials, which are regularly updated. Numerous code samples that come with the software are also available on the Internet, enabling developers to achieve results quickly and easily.
Since the start of 2013, the software components have been added to AndSoft's cloud-based transport management system: the PTV xLocate Server for geocoding, the PTV xMap Server to display digital maps and the PTV xRoute Server to calculate routes. The additional Logistics Package completes the range for AndSoft. This includes the data for toll, eco tax and CO2calculation as well as truck attributes. "Thanks to the PTV xServer, we can now offer our customers professional calculation of transport routes and the costs that will be incurred. This includes Europe-wide toll calculation, emissions calculation and, as the first company for the Spanish market, also the calculation of the French eco tax, which will be due for all transport in and to France from October 2013.
