The PTV Group and Transcamion Schiffahrtsagentur GmbH are putting the seal on their cooperation agreement at this year's transport logistic trade fair in Munich. In the future, data on ferry links from all over Europe will be integrated into PTV's logistics software. This means users will have access to precise information about departure times, waiting times and journey times – an important step on the way to comprehensive intermodal route planning.

The benefits for Transcamion customers include more than 1,300 lorry-ferry links over more than 500 lorry-ferry routes and the latest Europe-wide overview of ferry services. And these benefits will soon be available to users of PTV's logistics software for route planning. On 5 June, the two companies will put the seal on their cooperation at transport logistic 2013.

"We've been providing our services since 1977 and are pleased to now be able to offer our services to even more hauliers and transport logistics planners, integrated into the European market leader amongst route planners," said Allan Flensborg, Managing Director of Transcamion. To start with, the ferry routes will be included in version 3 of the cloud-based route planner PTV Map&Guide Internet, which will be launched in September 2013, and later it will be added to other logistics products. Users will be able to consult detailed information about ferry links and access Transcamion's booking pages directly from the software. Exact ferry timetables will gradually be included in the software.
