The PTV Group will launch the latest version of PTV Map&Guide desktop, its transport route planner, at this year's transport logistic exhibition. The highlight is a feature allowing scheduling agents to calculate the French green HGV tax, the Ecotax. The new edition of the software also offers updated and expanded toll tariffs and toll scenarios, numerous improved features and new maps. With this new release, PTV Map&Guide desktop will once again justify its status as the sector standard for calculating transport costs.
PTV Map&Guide desktop ensures transparency and helps you to keep an eye on important figures. The new version offers a feature that can be used to calculate the Ecotax, to be introduced in France from October for main roads, some trunk routes and some motorways which were previously toll-free. PTV provides the appropriate tool to not only let you calculate and see the Ecotax due, but also to plan your route to avoid such roads as far as possible. The new feature has already won the award for Product Innovation of the Year 2013 at the SITL logistics trade fair in France this spring.
In addition, the emissions calculations in the software determine the emissions arising in accordance with EN 16258, the standard for the calculation of greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. The French equivalent, in accordance with Article L.1431-3:3011 under French law, will be used for the calculation.
