Yorkshire kitchen manufacturer Rixonway has invested in logistics software from Paragon Software Systems to optimise its delivery route planning. Using the software to model its routes automatically, Rixonway is aiming to reduce its delivery mileage by 1,400 miles a week and planning time by nine hours. With optimised routes, Rixonway will also reduce its carbon emissions significantly.

Rixonway will use Paragon Single Depot software at its Dewsbury headquarters to plan deliveries to housing association properties undergoing refurbishment. The company previously used an alternative planning system to plan all routes for its mixed fleet making multi-drop deliveries nationwide.

Nick Greenall, Operations Director said: "All our products are delivered by our own dedicated vehicle fleet, which enables the business to control the time that orders are delivered and allows stringent delivery schedules to be met. Paragon will help us become more efficient in our transport planning, which will undoubtedly further enhance our delivery service."

Rixonway is an ISO9001 rated company that has manufactured quality kitchens since 1978. The company supplies an extensive range of tailored carcases to meet the individual requirements of each customer. Its comprehensive choice of modern and traditional door finishes is complemented by a wide selection of co-ordinating sinks, taps, worktops, handles and accessories. All kitchen furniture is manufactured at Rixonway's 177,000 sqft factory in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
