Optimé Supply Chain, Inc. and ROi (Resource Optimisation & Innovation) have signed an agreement to develop innovative solutions for optimising the health care supply chain.

The partnership will focus on leveraging Optimé's technology and services to further enhance ROi's award-winning, fully integrated supply chain solution. ROi and its St. Louis-based founder, Mercy, is the only organisation to be ranked in the top three of the Gartner Health care Supply Chain Top 25 every year since the ranking was established in 2009.

Optimé, with a team of US supply chain industry experts and international technology development professionals, will work on a number of new software applications and services for ROi to bring solutions to market for current ROi clients and others in the industry.

"We are committed to helping our customers transform health care, and by working collaboratively with Optimé, we plan to develop innovative solutions that further advance supply chain's strategic role in the industry," said Gene Kirtser, president and CEO of ROi.

Added Optimé President Ed Hisscock: "We are proud to bring our people, processes and technology to one of the true leaders in the supply chain space. Increasingly, hospitals and health systems are looking to the supply chain for more holistic solutions to the challenges they'll face in the era of health reform and reimbursement reductions, a call to action that we share with ROi."
