POS company Zedis chooses Preactor scheduling software

The Preactor Group, provider of advanced planning and scheduling (APS) solutions, has announced that Zedis has chosen Preactor software solutions for its manufacturing facility in Lliçà d'Amunt, Barcelona. Zedis is a major manufacturer and exporter of point of sale (POS) advertising and displays in Spain, offering its services for more than 30 years.

Joan Carles Aguilera, responsible for IT at the Zedis Group, said: "The reason we have decided to purchase a programming tool is because it's very important for us to guarantee delivery times, optimize productivity, and quickly be able to consider an exhaustive number of different restrictions on an order or to simulate and compare different production schedules.

"We found the features we were looking for in Preactor, along with the flexibility expected in this type of tool and an ability for it to be deployed in several countries. Also, the fact that Preactor is now in the process of opening a subsidiary in Spain definitely convinced us to go ahead with the project."

Raul Buiza, Preactor Group's Spain and Portugal Country Manager, said: "The agreement with Zedis is great news for us. We are grateful for the confidence the company has placed in Preactor to manage its production problems, and I hope it will be the beginning of a productive relationship between us.

"It also marks the beginning of a new era, with the opening of the new office of Preactor Europe in Barcelona. We are planning to expand use of Preactor programming tools in the Spanish market, and the Zedis agreement is a good example of how we will achieve this."

The Preactor Group, which has 20 years' experience in planning and industrial programming, has more than 400 experienced partners around the world, and its software is used by over 4,000 SMEs and large corporations in 75 countries.
