ByBox has completed its annual Tour de Box fundraising challenge raising £4917.74 for Zoë's Place Baby Hospice; a charity local to ByBox dedicated to the care of terminally ill babies and young children in Coventry and Warwickshire. Staff were divided into three teams, each with the objective of completing gruelling challenges and raising the most money for the charity.

Starting at the company's Distribution Centre, off Red Lane, Coventry, the teams competed in various events including tandem bike racing, kayaking, Dragon Boat racing, Aunt Sally and a mini Olympics. Stopping off at a few of the ByBox locker sites, of which there are hundreds throughout the UK, the teams had to collect various items before moving to the next stop.

It was the second year running that ByBox has staged the event and it received great support from major contributors such as Symec, Marren Electrical, MVM Group, Intercity Express, First Project Maintenance, Jaspers Corporate Catering, Texo Building Solutions, Sweeep Kuusakoski, InTouch Services, Apogee and JMC Workwear.

Throughout the year, ByBox continues to support the local charity through dress down days, raffles and cake sales. Dedicated solely to the one-to-one palliative care of babies and children under the age of five with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses and special complex needs, the charity has touched the hearts of all at ByBox.

Kirstie Nichols, Fundraising Officer at Zoë's Place Baby Hospice said, "We are so proud to have been supported by the ingenious Tour de Box event this year; all the teams put a great amount of thought and effort into preparations, which was evident in the seamless running of the day.  A great community atmosphere and some very generous hearts involved – Thank you."

Caroline Rooke, Marketing Manager at ByBox said, "It was a great day for all involved. The teams travelled around Coventry, Warwick and Leamington picking up clues and performing challenges. The day culminated with a mini Olympics back at our Coventry DC. It is a great team building exercise for everyone involved as well as a brilliant way to raise awareness and fundraise for Zoë's Place. I was really impressed with how much energy and enthusiasm all of the teams had raising money for this fantastic cause."

ByBox specialises in delivering parcels to a nationwide locker network. The lockers are based at convenient locations such as supermarkets, petrol stations and train stations and can be used by businesses to send parts to their field teams or for customers to collect their online shopping deliveries. ByBox offers a solution for people who are not normally at home when parcels are delivered and have to go through the headache of rearranging a delivery or collecting from a depot.

Customers receive a text or an email when a parcel is delivered into the locker and can collect at their convenience by entering a unique code.
