Syncron International AB – Syncron, provider of supply chain and price optimization software solutions, was host to some of Europe's leading manufacturers recently at two industry seminars held in France and Germany. The theme was value-based pricing for service parts and included theoretical techniques and real-life case studies of improving aftermarket pricing performance.

The seminars were an effective platform for manufacturers to meet and exchange knowledge and best practices and also hear from thought leaders on pricing strategies for service parts and components. Both events were well attended, with pricing professionals from aftermarket-oriented industries including automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment and industrial and consumer goods. The seminars were appreciated by attendees as being highly relevant and a valuable learning opportunity.

"The lectures were very well presented and the content was very interesting. Especially interesting for us were the discussions with other pricing experts where we also learned a lot about other industries, such as the aircraft industry or the automotive industry" commented John Mulitzer, Sales Manager Spare Parts at Liebherr Werk Bischofshofen GmbH.

Matthias Schumacher, Head of Aftermarket Business at Voith Hydro GmbH & Co. KG went on to say "on one hand I appreciated the opportunity to share knowledge with other experts, and on the other hand the presentations showed solutions also from other industries, which provided me a with a differentiated and wider view for pricing."

Syncron's pricing application, Global Price Management, was developed in collaboration with manufacturers to support and improve their service parts pricing process. The software supports the different steps in the pricing process from price and margin analysis to price optimization and price execution. It combines pricing methodologies, optimization techniques, best practice processes and a comprehensive execution platform to implement advanced value-based pricing strategies. Users benefit from increased revenue and profit and reduced pricing administration costs.

Syncron Global Price Management is used by companies including Hitachi Construction Machinery, Konecranes, and Volvo Construction Equipment amongst others. Look out for the next Syncron seminars that will take place in the autumn.
