BCP is introducing further Voice functionality to its Accord Voice WMS in the latest release of its Accord software. New, advanced labour management features provide enhanced graphical tools for monitoring and evaluating picking activities so managers and supervisors can easily optimise the use of labour across the whole picking operation.

Managers can now easily review picking rates and estimated completion times both individually and across departments so pickers can be redeployed to different departments or different orders where appropriate to improve overall productivity.

Picker inactivity periods - outside the usual norm of breaks and lunch periods - can also be easily identified so that they can be investigated and resolved quickly, while easily monitored target pick rates can be used, for example, to get new employees up to speed, maximising pick rates as quickly as possible.

The advanced labour scheduling solution uses sophisticated, yet flexible Data PA embedded graphical representation tools so supervisors and managers can easily evaluate the possible outcomes of different labour scheduling options to ensure they employ pickers as effectively as possible. The solution is completely compatible with the Microsoft suite so data can be easily exported to Excel spread sheets where required.

Tim Williams, BCP Distribution Divisional Director: "We believe this sophisticated labour scheduling enhancement will allow our Voice clients to further improve the already excellent picking productivity they are getting from our Accord Voice WMS."
