OKI Systems UK has unveiled a major expansion of its printer and multifunction printer portfolio which includes products tailored to suit businesses of all sizes. The product expansion programme was announced by Takao Hiramoto, chief executive officer of OKI Data Corporation at the company's recent 'Smart Business' Conference in Barcelona.

The portfolio combines innovative new models with enhancements of existing products and is designed to offer business customers printers and multifunction printers that are affordable without compromising on performance or reliability.

For the micro and small business, where cost of acquisition is the most important factor, new models range from the B401 mono printer, which lowers the entry price for a professional quality duplex capable device, to the brand new ultra compact C822 series A3 colour printer.

New products also include a new C300 range of colour printers, together with a choice of mono multifunction printers, such as the new MB441 and MB451, aimed at providing top performance, such as automatic double sided copying as standard, at a price point previously only delivering basic functionality.

For the small to medium-sized workgroup, the new models offer best-in-class performance with products such as the new C500 Series A4 colour printers and the ultra compact C831 A3 colour printer. These models offer enhanced performance compared to the previous models and, in the case of the C831, boosts output performance to 35ppm - all from the world's smallest A3 laser class page printer.

Graham Lowes, marketing director, OKI Systems UK Ltd states: "We looked hard at the market requirements, together with customer feedback, and have developed the new models to be easier to use and to have low power consumption.   They offer affordability for those on limited budgets, together with low total cost of ownership for the larger business."

For larger customers, products such as the new MB491 offer superior performance with efficiency improving features such as encrypted secure print and the ability to forward incoming faxes to an email address or a folder on the network.

With all of these new models OKI is leading the way in driving down energy usage and reducing carbon emissions by building in 'Deep Sleep' mode, which reduces consumption to the barest minimum (often less than 1 watt) and 'Auto Power Off'  technology which automatically turns off devices after periods on non-use.
