Infor, provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, has announced Stephan Scholl has been named President of the company, reporting to CEO Charles Phillips. Prior to being named President, Scholl served as CEO of Lawson Software, which was an affiliate of Infor until the two companies officially combined as one on 5 April 2012. In his role as President, Scholl will lead Infor's global sales, consulting, alliances and channels, and telesales organisations, as well as serving as executive sponsor for large accounts.

Scholl joined Infor as executive vice president, global field operations in December, 2010 before he transitioned to lead Lawson. Prior to Infor, Scholl was general manager of the Utilities Global Business unit at Oracle Corporation, where he helped establish Oracle Utilities as a market leader and played a significant role in directing the company's green strategy. From 2006 to 2009, Scholl ran Oracle's North America Consulting Group.

"For nearly a decade I have witnessed first-hand Stephan's track record of success, his in-depth knowledge of our business, his operational and industry expertise, and his laser focus on helping our customers drive speed and innovation at their organisation," said Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor. "Stephan's leadership has contributed greatly to the recent success of the company, which includes five consecutive quarters of double-digit license growth, and I am pleased to recognise him for these outstanding contributions with the title of President."

Scholl and Duncan Angove will serve as co-presidents of Infor, with Angove continuing to lead development and support. Scholl will be based from Infor's new headquarters and innovation centre in New York's Silicon Alley when the facility opens later this year.
