Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. has announced the appointment of Mr. Michael Lock as Chief Operating Officer of Automobili Lamborghini America LLC effective March 1st, 2012. Mr. Lock succeeds Wolfgang Hoffmann who moves into a new role as President of Audi Canada.
"I'm delighted to be joining such an iconic brand as Lamborghini at this time," said Lock. "I look forward to broadening Lamborghini's position as one of the leading luxury sports car brands in the U.S."
Prior to Automobili Lamborghini America LLC, Lock was CEO of Ducati North America where he spearheaded the re-energizing and growth of the brand, creating a successful sales and service organization in the USA from 2003-2010. Lock's past experiences include time with companies such as Triumph Motorcycles, THINK Electric Vehicles and Factory Design Labs.
Mr. Lock will report to Fintan Knight, Commercial Director of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. based in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy.
