Pegasus Software, supplier of accounting, business and payroll software, recently celebrated 30 years in business.  Since its inception in 1981, the company's software solutions have supported a number of fast growing companies such as Paul's Boutique, Superdry, Caffe Nero, Mint Velvet and Rigby & Peller, as well as manufacturers of products ranging from olive oil, ice cream and cheese, to lighting and electronic components.  The 30 year milestone will be marked through a staff party at the Kettering Park Hotel.

Of the first customers who bought Pegasus Software's accounting systems back in the 1980s, many still use software from the company today, stating that its solutions continue to be the best on the market.  Testament to the company's success is its increased recognition through a number of accolades and awards achieved over the last few years, including a top rating in the Payroll World's Software Satisfaction Survey, and winning Sift Media's Software Satisfaction Awards in 2007, 2009 and 2011.

One of Pegasus' first customers, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning company, East Coast Controls, was also established in 1981 and turned to Pegasus Software for its first accounting system soon after.  Margaret Anne Vickerman, Financial Controller at East Coast Controls, comments:  "We used Pegasus Software's first product soon after we started trading as it was the best on the market.  After numerous upgrades over the years, the most recent being to Opera 3 this year, we maintain our belief that its solutions are the very best on the market."

Chemicals manufacturer, Gower Chemicals has used Pegasus Software solutions for more than 20 years.  "We continue to be genuinely impressed with Pegasus Software's solutions," comments Ian Butcher, CFO at Gower Chemicals.  "Having also used Sage I can categorically say that Pegasus Software products are so much easier to use and enable us to improve productivity through saving resources and deploying slicker accounting processes."

Stuart Anderson, Director, Sales & Marketing at Pegasus Software has been with the company since 1985.  He comments:  "After 30 successful years in the industry, we continue to build on our reputation for high quality and flexible products which help SMEs to grow their businesses.  As we continue to face economic uncertainty, our software plays a pivotal role in helping organisations to reduce costs and maximise profitability.  We continue to invest heavily in development to ensure our solutions meet the evolving needs of the market on a continual basis."

"Looking ahead to the next 30 years, we believe that business software will continue to support greater automation, reduced manual processes and slicker working practices.  However as a new generation of employees, brought up in a world dominated by Twitter and Facebook, enter the workforce, business software will start to take advantage of the web and mobile environment and become increasingly faster, easier to use and more flexible."
