Rainin selects InfinityQS' Advanced Quality System to optimise manufacturing processes

InfinityQS International, Inc., provider of real-time quality control software solutions, has announced that Rainin Instruments, LLC has selected its ProFicient Statistical Process Control (SPC) software to drive quality, throughput and cost-cutting initiatives. Rainin, a producer of laboratory pipettes and related laboratory liquid handling products and a wholly owned subsidiary of Mettler-Toledo International, manufactures and sells products across Europe, the US and China.

 
Rainin's high-volume injection molding operations require continual testing of in-production products through periodic sampling. The InfinityQS SPC system gives Rainin complete visibility into process capabilities so they know exactly when quality issues occur. Equally as important, Rainin's quality team is using advanced analysis tools to identify areas where quality improvement will yield the greatest cost savings.

Rainin is also using InfinityQS' Remote Alarm Monitor Service (RAMS) and Remote Event Monitor Service (REMS) to automate events and actions based on real-time conditions on the plant floor. These tools allow Rainin's quality control system to run "lights out" while alerting the appropriate personnel if action needs to be taken.
