Tecsys Inc. the supply chain management software company, has announced that the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) has selected Tecsys' warehouse and distribution management software solutions to automate the LCBO's Specialty Services distribution operation, and further enhance its service to customers.
With some 18,000 products and 2010-2011 sales of $4.55 billion, the LCBO is Canada's largest retailer of wine, spirits and beer. It is also one of the world's largest purchasers of beverage alcohol, buying wine, spirits and beer from more than 70 countries for Ontario consumers and licensees.
Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, the LCBO operates some 617 stores and various other outlets across Ontario, as well as five regional warehouse facilities. This integrated distribution and retailing network makes quality domestic and imported products regularly available to its customers.
In addition to its 617 stores, the LCBO also operates Specialty Services through which customers can obtain beverage alcohol products that are not readily available through stores or the LCBO Vintages website.
