Manchester-based K3 Business Technology Group (K3) has responded to the growing interest in on-demand Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The company's Syspro BusinessLive ERP offering is provided as Software as a Solution (SaaS), enabling customers to take advantage of a powerful and flexible computer system without the need for up-front investment or on-site installation and maintenance. Customers will find that the system pays for itself through efficiency gains as they use it.

Research by the technology analyst firm, Aberdeen Group found that 39% of respondents to a recent survey would consider deploying SaaS ERP an increase of 70% on the previous year.1 Users recognise that such cloud based systems provide huge benefits by giving them the ability to use state of the art technology that is hosted and maintained by the software company. They have no need to worry about updates and data security as this is part of the service.

Syspro BusinessLive also allows scaleability for growth, flexibility to adapt to business change and easy deployment for new users and sites. The system is inherently secure due to K3's mirrored state of the art hosting systems and it provides business continuity and disaster recovery features. If a company needs to relocate to a temporary site or staff need to work from home, the system remains accessible at all times.

Aberdeen finds that the "cloud offering includes the full functionality of the Syspro ERP application; there is no difference in the software between the on-premise version and SYSPRO BusinessLive."2 The secure web-based application enables users to access their ERP system on demand over the Internet or through a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

"Syspro BusinessLive gives companies the opportunity to implement advanced software without the associated costs of on-site installations. When companies are working hard to move forward, but still feeling the effect of the recession, it means that they can take advantage of powerful technology without impacting their finances," said Andy Latham Managing Director, K3 Business Technology Group.
