Belgravium puts Webb 'In the Picture' with real-time solution

The Webb Group selects Belgravium's real-time mobile computing solution. Utilising the 'Rugged by Design' Boston 8500 handheld and Monaco 7100 truck-mounted terminals the solution is set to secure many tangible benefits that will provide increased visibility and accuracy improvements across their Bradford warehouse operation.

With over 2.7 million direct customers and 4500 retail outlets, The Webb Group are one of the UK's largest suppliers of retail home entertainment products including games, DVDs, music and gifts. Working in conjunction with leading retail outlets such as Next, Wilkinsons and Grattan they provide an end to end retail solution, providing a suite of tailored marketing and fulfilment solutions designed to add value and maximise profit.  

As part of their solution, the Webb Group offer a complete digital and multi-channel e commerce platform. Operating state-of-the-art e-commerce distribution systems they handle over 2 million dispatches a month, either direct to customer or to retail stores, across thousands of different product lines.

Working in conjunction with leading mobile computing manufacturer Belgravium, the Webb Group recently implemented a real time mobile computing solution across their Bradford warehouse facility. Utilising a real time network and the "Rugged by Design" Boston 8500 handheld and Monaco 7100 vehicle mounted terminals, the solution works in conjunction with the goods in, bulk stores and pick face replenishment operations to secure fast, reliable and accurate data capture for increased traceability.

In addition, Belgravium also supplied and installed a complete and durable range of racking labels and floor tags. The labelling solution was developed to work in conjunction with The Webb Groups warehouse management system and complement Belgravium's real-time solution by facilitating the clear identification of stock locations.
