The recently launched Total Logistics North has already secured seventeen exhibiting companies, with more being on the verge of committing to the show, according to organiser Richard Milbourn, founder partner of Logistics Manager magazine and the Logistics Link series of exhibitions. The event, which will be held on the 28 and 29 September 2011 at Doncaster Racecourse, is a brand new, cost-effective exhibition that will put suppliers of a complete range of logistics products, systems and services face-to-face with senior supply chain professionals responsible for making the key buying decisions. Milbourn comments that the show will very much live up to its 'Total' name by being a broad-based exhibition featuring the latest products, systems and services utilised in the supply and movement of goods and materials from sourcing through all stages of production, packaging, storage, handling and distribution to end users.

Psion Teklogix, Belgravium, Proteus Software, Open Business Solutions, Shrinkfast, Invest In Doncaster, Logistics Leaders Network, Lighthouse and Lutterworth Ecolighting are among the companies backing Total Logistics North. Milbourn comments that the exhibition will set new standards of visitor interest by creating a one-stop-shop where logistics professionals can attend seminars, see demonstrations and meet suppliers representing hundreds of products and solutions. New initiatives include site visits to nearby, state-of-the-art distribution parks where visitors can see for themselves how leading companies have improved their logistics operations. The Invest In Doncaster Workshop that will look at developments in logistics unique to the region such as Rossington Inland Port and the Logistics Leaders Network Pavilion will provide debate and discussion on key issues affecting senior supply chain professionals.

"The initial response to the launch has been fantastic, but of utmost importance the promises of on-going support has been extremely gratifying," said Milbourn. "I think that it proves that Total Logistics North concept is the right show, at the right time, in the right venue and has all the ingredients in place to make it a great proposition for visitors and exhibitors alike."

Doncaster Racecourse re-opened as a new events venue in 2007 following a 34 million development and is one of the best state-of-the art exhibition and conference facilities for the Midlands and North. It is located in the heart of the UK motorway network with the M18, A1(M) and M180 providing eight key junctions within the Borough, and easy access to the M62 and M1. Doncaster also has excellent rail links from Scotland, the Midlands and North, and London which is only 90 minutes away by train from Kings Cross.

Total Logistics North will utilise both indoor and outdoor space at Doncaster Racecourse. The 3400 sq m indoor Lazarus Exhibition Hall will be used to demonstrate the latest IT and warehouse and distribution software systems; materials handling equipment, storage and packaging systems. The outdoor display and event space, adjacent to a free parking area for 3000 cars, will be used as a commercial vehicle park to display the latest vehicles and distribution solutions.

Milbourn reports that a comprehensive marketing and promotional programme will be implemented to support Total Logistics North and ensure a high class event that delivers a real ROI for exhibitors. He adds that it will be an event that will transform marketing and sales operations by providing the right sales contacts at the right price. Exhibition space costs from as little as 190 per sq m if booked by the early bird discount deadline of 28 February 2011. Milbourn  is confident that whatever product, service or system you are marketing then Total Logistics North will help you to promote and sell it better.
