hybris, the multichannel commerce software vendor, has been named as one of the three vendors that lead the pack in the B2C eCommerce platforms market in Forrester Research, Inc.'s latest Wave report on eCommerce entitled "The Forrester Wave: B2C eCommerce Platforms, Q4 2010", dated 21 October 2010. The report states that these specific vendors have "solid eCommerce capabilities, an ability to scale and strong or very strong business management tools."

The increased emphasis on WCM, product content management (PCM) and order management were among the changes made in this year's report and in fact hybris got the top ranking from all the vendors assessed in the areas of catalog, product content, site management and order management; "Order management was less of an issue when eCommerce businesses were focussed on one channel...today, our clients are looking to solve all direct orders via the eCommerce system... (likewise) Product content management and WCM capabilities are not new requirements for most eCommerce platforms, but the stakes and solutions have increased as the sources of product content...have grown," says the report.

Regarding hybris, the Forrester report says that; "hybris' key differentiators are in strong product content management tools, catalog management, enterprise integration, and globalization/internationalization capabilities.  eCommerce features are well represented, and there is a well-defined ability to extend the product and customize it to develop differentiated eCommerce sites across a variety of verticals."

With expanding sales and operations in the US, Europe and Asia, hybris is building its momentum through its range of multichannel commerce solutions and key partnerships with companies such as Endeca in the US market.  Focussing on a range B2B and B2C commerce markets, including retail and manufacturing, hybris has signed up customers in the last twelve months such as Target Australia, Nespresso, Nikon & Taylormade.

Ariel Ldi, CEO of hybris, said; "This latest Wave report positions hybris as one of the leaders of the B2C eCommerce platforms market.  This confirms our belief that our multichannel commerce solutions are challenging the bigger, established vendors and driving the agenda in next generation eCommerce and multipoint sales roll-outs."
