The implementation of a yard management system has been completed at Rolf Group's newly built Lobnya Terminal on the outskirts of Moscow, by finished vehicle software specialist Vehnet.

"We have worked closely with Rolf SCS (Supply Chain Solutions) to develop a flexible, effective yard management solution, based on standard modules and proven technology, which is unique to Rolf and its vision for the future," explains Steve Jones, Group Managing Director of Vehnet. "

Comments Marc Brenneiser, CEO at Rolf Supply Chain Solutions, "By working with Vehnet, we made a quick win in learning through their experience and adopting industry best practice."

He adds, "We chose Vehnet because we knew that they had a proven track record in our industry, and the iTracks software offered us the opportunity to extend its usefulness in the future."

According to Steve Jones, the key benefits Rolf can expect to accrue from the implementation of iTracks include visibility across all activities in their facility, control and improved operational efficiency, and cost reductions both in the yard and the back office.

Lobnya Terminal will provide space for up to 10,000 vehicles and will include a Technical Services Centre for post production operations and refurbishment.
