Zetes has announced that it is fully certified on Motorolas new WT4090 Voice Only Wearable (VOW). Across the Zetes Group, the Zetes 3i Voice Solution will now also be offered on the new voice terminal.

With this certification Zetes underlines the strategy of its 3i Voice Solution, built on the principle of offering customers freedom of choice. For this, the solution operates on a wide range of both voice dedicated and multimodal terminals, runs a wide range of applications and operates in any environment.

In addition, the solution supports both direct and middleware integration, with respectively the 3iV Connector and 3iV middleware modules. All this to ensure customers receive at all times the voice solution that best fits their operations and requirements.

Alain Wirtz, CEO of Zetes, said: We are proud to have been certified on Motorolas new voice terminal, as this allows us to offer our customers yet another powerful platform on which to run their voice applications. For over 10 years Zetes has been investing in its 3i Voice Solution to keep it on the leading edge. The certification on the WT4090 VOW, which was achieved in record time using MCL-Voice, illustrates that we continue looking for new opportunities to improve our solution.

Janet Schijns, VP Global Channels Motorola EMS stated: "For many years, Motorola and Zetes have partnered successfully in the identification and mobility space. The release of our first voice dedicated terminal, the Voice Only Wearable (VOW), will only increase this success. Zetes' thorough understanding and extensive expertise with voice ensures the Voice Only Wearable integrates perfectly into the Zetes 3i Voice solution - meeting Motorolas certification requirements therefore, took only a few weeks.

First successes of 3iV Solution on VOW

Both Bon Preu, a Spanish retailer, and Finiper, a leading retailer in Italy, have equipped its first operators with the WT4090 VOW. Says Valerio Cortese, IT Director from Finiper: We were already successfully running the 3iV Solution on the Motorola MC9090. Testing the voice solution on the new terminal seemed the logical next step. We have been using it for a few weeks now, and the first results are very positive.
