RedPrairie fully integrates fleet and parcel capabilities with Global Transportation Management solution

RedPrairie Corporation has enhanced its 2009 Transportation Management suite by fully integrating its Fleet, Parcel, and Collaboration Portal solutions with its core Transportation Management solution. The systems functionality includes optimised local routing and scheduling, asset and driver management, and expanded support for in-house transport operations and third-party logistics providers.

The enhancements weve made to our Transportation Management suite result in a unique and broad footprint for the product, says RedPrairie VP Product Strategy, Tom Kozenski. In the past, organisations had to rely on a variety of different products to carry out every aspect of their transportation management operations. This release now offers our customers an integrated solution that supports all modes of transportation, from ocean to air to rail, along with third party road carriers, private fleet, and parcel carriers.

The products functionality spans all transportation operations, and includes GPS tracking, driver communication, advanced planning and scheduling for both fleet and contract carrier moves, certified parcel support for multiple carriers, and collaborative execution with customers, vendors and carriers.

Kozenski adds, Our Transportation Management suite provides global support for the needs of both inbound and outbound transportation for both international and domestic operations, making our system the only worldwide transportation management solution available with fully integrated fleet and parcel capabilities.

Additionally, the RedPrairie Fleet and Parcel solutions provide customisable user profiles and windows, embedded reports, and electronic manifesting. The solution also supports several new parcel carriers, as well as high-volume transactional processing for large clients.

RedPrairie continues to provide unified solutions for even the most complex operations, says RedPrairie CEO Mike Mayoras, Our newest Transportation Management release will contribute a great deal to our logistics platform.
