Zetes, a leading pan-European provider of solutions and services for the automatic identification of goods and people , is taking over the Print & Apply activity of Bopack Systems. Zetes will ensure the continuity of the activities and related services, including media and maintenance. Around thirty employees, who are today based in the Bopack Systems offices, will join the existing Zetes teams in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Bopack Systems specialises in the design, manufacture and production of labelling machines. Its portfolio of solutions ideally complements the Zetes offering. In addition to the production of print & apply machines, mainly earmarked for logistical and production lines, Bopack Systems also positions itself as an integrator in this sector and proposes solutions that make it possible to establish a direct link between the actual situation in production or in a warehouse and the computerised management systems.

The activities of Bopack Systems are being taken over as part of the ambitions to build on the Print & Apply activities currently operated by Zetes, which is anxious to offer good geographical cover for these solutions throughout Europe. In 2006 and 2007, Zetes already acquired two Spanish companies, Powersys and MD, present in the same sector of activity.

Zetes has considerable expertise in the Bopack Systems products and solutions in particular via its French subsidiary ZetesInterscan. Indeed, Interscan, a company acquired by the Group in 2007, has been the exclusive distributor of Bopack Systems in France since 2005.

Alain Wirtz, CEO of Zetes, comments: We are very happy to be able to take over the activities of Bopack Systems, which enjoys an excellent reputation. It allows us to expand our offer of Print & Apply Solutions with a significant presence in Northern Europe. We are banking on a strong integration within the Zetes group and want to pool the expertise and experience of both companies in order to offer our clients extremely solid and reliable solutions, allowing them to effectively manage their production and their stocks. This acquisition, which will have no significant impact on the balance sheet structure, could be realised quickly thanks to the Groups net cash position.

Mr Jean-Jacques Schormans joins the team in order to ensure the on-going development of the activities of Bopack Systems.
