ADEY Professional Heating Solutions champions a new approach to electronic trading through a OneTime connection to

ADEY Professional Heating Solutions, an independent UK manufacturer of innovative products designed to serve the professional central heating sector, has selected Wesupply.coms On Demand Electronic Trading solution to electronically connect its growing customer base and help deal with increasingly complex supply chain processes which come hand in hand with the growing pace of the business.

Rebekah Howard, Operations Manager at ADEY, believes the solution will bring significant benefits to the effective and efficient running of business operations with their customers by significantly reducing errors and administration costs, and ultimately support strong growth and deliver cost savings across the supply chain.

ADEY has experienced significant growth in the last few years, which has inevitably led to an extended customer base, each with their own trading preferences and standards. Explains Miss Howard.

ADEY Professional Heating Solutions has responded to the growing need for an electronic trading solution across their customer-facing supply chain to streamline their trading processes and reduce manual order receipt and fulfilment.

As a growing business, we were facing escalating volumes of paperwork required for our customer trading processes. We were receiving faxed purchase orders, and due to the large increase of these orders we have experienced duplications and sometimes have not received the order at all. Points out Miss Howard. The process had increased to around 4 hours per day, with regular manual errors occurring. Consequently, we required a solution that would reduce the manual effort required to receive and process orders, and could scale with the needs and growth of our business.

ADEY quickly ruled out the option of creating a bespoke in-house system to trade electronically with customers when it came clear how much time and cost would be involved. Our top three customers requesting us to trade electronically had all implemented as their trading partner. Explained Rebekah Howard. Rather than reinvent the wheel, this strong proof point highlighted Wesupply.coms On Demand Electronic Trading solutions as a sensible route for us to follow to overcome our challenges in a low risk and innovative way.

ADEY Professional Heating Solutions has selected Wesupply.coms On Demand Electronic Trading Solution to simplify electronic communication with its customers. Using a OneTimeTM connection to the intelligent Network, ADEY will be able to seamlessly exchange trading documents including invoices, statements and remittances in a timely and accurate fashion, whilst integrating and leveraging their existing investment in Sage software.

The OneTimeTM connection means that ADEY will no longer have to integrate the different communication methods required by each different customer. ADEY simply connect to once, and the solution takes care of the information flow translating it into the format and message type required by the customer. Ambiguities of data are removed, and extending the solutions across their customer base is a quick, easy and low-cost process, leading to high and rapid return on investment.

By implementing On Demand Electronic Trading, is helping ADEY to professionally meet the mandates of their major customers and reinforcing the company as a major supplier in the plumbing and heating sector. Between them they already plan to connect six of ADEYs top customers to the solution. The rapid rollout of the solution is aided by ADEYs top three customers having already implemented is assisting ADEY Professional Heating Solutions to build on its reputation within the industry for quality and innovation. Commented Jerry Quinn, Building Industry Director, Our On Demand Electronic Trading Solution provides ADEY with a flexible solution enabling quick reaction to customers demands, and a scalable platform to complement the increasing pace of the business and the complexities that come with it.

The solution will enable ADEY to reduce the time needed to process sales invoices and dramatically reduce the manual errors occurring in the process. The previous challenges of dual entry for online trading requests will be eliminated, and consequently less queries being processed due to these errors. Eliminating the use of the fax machine to receive purchase orders from our top customers will result in no loss of orders or duplicates.

As the project moves forward, we are confident that the implementation will drive efficiencies throughout the business, and we feel secure in meeting the supply chain demands of our customers. Concludes Rebekah Howard, Operations Manager, ADEY Professional Heating Solutions.
